CONGRATULATIONS KELLY

This past year Kelly's worked very hard
to get accepted into the nursing program,
at Liberty University. While we were
away in March, in Florida, she received
her acceptance letter via email.
Kelly we are so proud of your hard work!
I know it's your desire to use your gifts
for the glory of God!
ps. Kelly's sister is a Nurse too!
And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it
all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God
the Father through Him. "Colossians 3:17
Acceptance Letter
Over 300 students applied
and only 119 made it!
Chelsea also was accepted into
the nursing program. So Proud of you two!
Photo credits for the nursing outfits
go to Kelly! Thank You!
Kelly had to try on lab coats and
nursing uniforms. Fun times

Kelly will get a lot of hands on
experience. They have a wing at the college
that looks like a hospital. She will practice
on life size dummies that look real!

Kelly loves being in the Lab. I love
when she calls, and tells me about
the cadaver they are working on.
She has learned about the muscles,
arteries, veins, bones, skin and just
about everything! She was quick to
comment how cool God made our
bodies. She said"How can anyone think
there is no God"Only He could make
something so intricate!
Can you guess what the pic is below?
Yes, Hearts!

Momma Robin

The American Robin
I'm not sure how long this nest has been here,
but it's going to be great blogging material :)
It's one of my favorite signs of Spring!
How do we know they're here?
They SING!

What amazes me is that a bird can
make something so symmetrical and beautiful!

Connecticut I

This weekend Dan and I went to
Pennsylvania & Connecticut. We stopped
in Pa to pick up our two grandsons,
Christopher and Michael.
We stopped in New Jersey for lunch.

We got to CT in the afternoon. First stop
and our hotel, is my sister Laura's
house. She is a fantastic host and we
felt like we were at a "Bed & Breakfast"
Thanks Laura for your warm hospitality!
Laura is a great cook too!
I posted her Parmesan chicken recipe
on our food blog.
http://terezas-cozinha.blogspot.com
I love this photo hanging in her house.
It's her Sr. High picture. Ah the days of
straight hair and no flat irons!  I
remember  ironing our hair with
a real iron....what were we thinking?
Those of you that graduated in the 70's
remember that curly hair was not in
then! Getting a part in our hair
was no easy task :)
My Dad got home shortly after we arrived.
Three times a week he goes to Adult Daycare.
Most of the people there are in the beginning
stages of Alzheimer's. My Dad is very social
and really enjoys being around people!

Christopher loves my Dad! His favorite thing
to say to my Dad  is,
"I Love That Guy!" My Dad follows that with
"How Sweet It Is" from the old Jackie
Gleason  TV show.
Christopher gets a kick out of my Dad
calling him Christoph.   All our grand kids
call him Avu, it's Portuguese for Grandpa.
Dad, Dan, Michael & Christoph
Christoph is almost taller than Avu
Maggie Mae is Laura's Dog.
Believe it or not she understands
Portuguese!
You can check that out on
my food blog!
