Autumn Leaves
Were you told that Jack Frost paints the autumn leaves? Actually a severe early frost kills the leaves before they can turn color. The yellow pigments in almost all foliage are present in the inside cells, but are masked or hidden all summer by the rich green pigments. When the life in the leaf cell goes, so does the green and the gold comes out. Leaves turn yellow in a drought.
Light is essential in bringing out reds and purples. Thus, sunny autumns are the most brilliant. A lack of nitrogen is also helpful to bring out high color, which is why the colors are high in New England, the southern Appalachians and the Great Lakes of the United States.
The sugar maple is king of autumn foliage. It is the same with acid. As acids turn litmus paper pink, so they turn leaves red. There are also other chemicals responsible for browns and purples.
It is the variation in circumstances and the inner make up that makes for the beauty of autumn. So, too, it is with life. God has made you to be you. Do you think you are are too tall, too short? too young? or too old? Is your nose too long? or too short? Do you have too many freckles? or too few? Is your hair black or brown or red? God has made you like you are. Be thankful. God has a purpose in you and for you. And just as the light brings out the brilliance in the autumn leaves, so the Light of God's presence in the human heart and life through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ brings out the brilliance of the design and purpose of God in your life. God has made you for Himself, and you will never know full beauty until you know Him.

Brittany was telling me about a tree she drives by everyday
on her way to work. She says "It's one of most beautiful
trees she's ever seen" So I took a drive to see it, and just
like she said, It's beautiful!
