Happy Father's Day Dan!

Psalms 127:3-5
"Children are a gift from the
Lord. How joyful
is the man whose quiver
is full of them!

Dan, my favorite Man in the World!
Thank you for working so hard. I am amazed at he
way you blend love and laughter, tenderness and tough
standards to bring out the best in our family. Our kids
are flourishing and so much of that is because of your
commitment to me and to them. I thank God for you
every day. You continue to excel in everything you do.
My favorite time is seeing your nose buried in
your Bible. You really get it, Dan. That by being strong
in Christ, first and foremost, you'll be strong at
everything else. Keep seeking Him, I'm proud
of You! Thanks for being my Best Friend!

********
To my precious family, who continue to give
me countless reasons to celebrate God's
Faithfulness. I am a blessed Woman!

Happy Father's Day to My Dad!

Happy Father's Day to my Dad! He turned 91 in
February! What I admire the most about him was
his work ethic, he never missed a day from work and
was one of the hardest working Men I know! I've never
heard him complain about how much he had to work!
He faithfully took care of my Mom who had Alzheimer's
disease. Again, you never complained. I can only hope
to live my life the same way! My Dad lives in Connecticut.
Dad, hope you had a great Day! Love You!

Below is one of the many messages
my Dad has left me on my answering
machine. I still love his Portuguese
accent! I've included a photo of my
dad when he was 21. I think Brittany
looks a lot like him, especially the Hair!

Outer Banks here we Come!

Sunday June 15th, Father's Day, we headed to our
annual vacation. This was our 7th year at the
Outer Banks, North Carolina. On my next post I'll
post the happy Father's day photos. A few
days before our trip daughter # 3 Danielle dropped off
Annabelle Grace for us to babysit. Josh & Danielle
celebrated their 3rd Wedding Anniversary and
headed to Williamsburg, Va for a few days.We don't
get to see Annabelle that often and I was concerned
how she'd do with out her parents. She was fantastic!
Great Parenting guys!

BJ! I found Poodie for YOU! LOL.
Joshua, AKA Poodie is a active
two year old. He gives the best hugs
and I love when he calls me Ginny,
meaning Granny! :)
Thanks for video taping our packing BJ!

We always stop at Starbucks on our way
to OBX. When we got back to the car
Annabelle didn't want to go back in her car
seat. It was adorable how she hung onto
Pops!

BALD!

Yes! He's now a B-A-L-D MAN!
He wants so much to look
just like Pops!
What do you think?

Brian's brothers Christopher & Michael give
him a hug!
I buzzed his hair down as far as I could go!

Pops prepares his head for the shave.

Christopher has been asking for a
"Steve" Haircut! Today he got one!
He was so excited to have Steve
do it himself!
Enjoy the video of the close Shave!

MOHAWK! TO BE CONTINUED!

Brian Jr is our oldest grandson. I wish you could
meet him! He has many talents. He's a piano student,
an actor and has been in many plays. He is on the
cross country team at school. He's a great
student and is very active in his church.
Brian loves to spend his summer at our house.
He let me know that this was the summer he
would let his hair grow long. He was quick to add
that this would be only for the summer months,
and then in time for school he would get it cut.
WRONG!

Today he decided that the reverse
was going to happen! He asked for
a shaved head. He added that he wanted
to look just like Pops! I told him that I
needed his parents consent and he called
them. They said YES!

We started with a Mohawk. I kept asking him
"Are you sure you want to do this?" He quickly
said Yes!
We had fun jelling his hair up and
taking pictures.

I asked one more time. Are you sure
you want a bald head???
"Yes Granny I'm sure, just do it! "
Does Brian Jr. get a Baldy? Hmmm
check out my next post!

Annapolis , Maryland

Dan and I went into Annapolis, Maryland
for Memorial Day. Chris and Cindy Miller
joined us . We had fun driving around and
then took a walking tour. Chris & Cindy,
thank you so much for showing us around!

The Blue Angels' first demonstration took
place May 10, 1946
The Naval Academy Honor Fallen Blue Angels
On the occasion of the 60th Anniversary of the
founding of the Navy Flight Demonstration
Squadron, the Blue Angels, this aircraft display
is dedicated in memory of all the Blue Angels'
aircrew lost in team flight operations.

The United States Navel Academy has a new
visitor center with interactive displays telling
the history of the Academy.  The visitor center's
theater shows the award winning film,
"To Lead and to Serve"
The City Dock
is the heart of historic downtown Annapolis.
The adjacent waterside park is the site of
summer band concerts.
I found this Gosling near the dock.

It was a very warm day and so we stopped
into Ben & Jerry's. I'm off dairy so I had a
frozen ice drink, so good!
State House Inn
We stopped inside for a small tour.
It's a Bed & Breakfast.
It has 8 beautifully decorated rooms
with amazing views.
