Billy Graham's Home & Library

On our way home from Spring Break we stopped at

Billy Graham's Library. Dan says it was his favorite

part of our vacation. We didn't plan this stop, but on

our drive home we saw a sign for it! It was well worth

the stop and it was a time to reflect and give thanks

to God for Saving Us!

This is the house that Billy Grahams father built

It's been moved twice. We got to tour the inside.

Most of the furnishings are authentic.

His Mom's favorite color was Robins Egg Blue.

It was in almost all the rooms.

This area was called the prayer garden.

We could hear beautiful Christian Music playing

as we walked to where Billy's wife is buried.

Their were benches to stop and sit on and to pray.

I love what it says on Ruth's gravestone. Ruth Bell

Graham was born in China to missionary parents. The

Chinese Character of Righteousness is placed at the top

of the stone. While riding down the highway years ago,

Ruth noticed a sign beside the road:

"End of construction - Thank you for your patience."

With a smile, she said that these were the words she

wanted on her gravestone.

Inside this cross barn is the Library

We toured many rooms that walked us through

Billy's life and how God used him for His glory.

My favorite part was seeing all of God's word

everywhere we looked.

At the end of the tour we got to hear Billy Graham

speak. We sat down and watched a short video clip

of him preaching. It was just like being at one

of his Tent Revivals!

They handed out material and were

ready to pray with anyone who wanted too!
