Valentine's Day

We spent Valentine's Day home this year. Dan and I went to church, then came home and had leftovers, from last night! We made an amazing dinner together last night! My favorite part of the night, was cooking with Dan! It was a recipe that I got when I broke my leg, 5 years ago! It's called "Maria's Chicken". It's an easy recipe, that is delicious! I should have taken pictures!

Dan is a very thoughtful guy! He thought it would be fun to get me a Steeler's Jersey! The grand kids are going to be excited about that! My brother on the other hand, will call me a trader! If you read this brother, send me a "Cowboy's" Jersey! I'll proudly wear it too! :)

On a serious note. Dan reads God's Word to me every morning. He prays for our family and anyone that is suffering. It has been great to hear God's word and to see our prayers answered! I can't imagine my day starting any other way!

"Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied" Matthew 5:6

Matthew 5:6 is a powerful passage, a passage that exudes hope all through it. “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness for they shall be filled.” We are blessed if we hunger and thirst after righteousness. How? Because we are filled; we don’t hunger any longer as the world hungers because our satisfaction has been met in Christ. Hungering and thirsting after righteousness has both an evangelistic message for those who do not know Christ, as well as a message to those who are in Christ. I conclude with a simple question: What are you hungering and thirsting after in your life? I pray that all of us can answer, “Righteousness.”
